Who We Are

We exist to be Salt and Light in Colorado Springs with the good news of Jesus Christ.

We orient our church life around 4 Essentials and 4 Gatherings

4 Essentials

Essential #1 The Gospel (Eph 2:4-10)

We orient our lives around the good news of the grace of Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection saves all who turn to him in faith, reconciling us to the Father and forgiving our sins.

Essential #2 The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)

We orient our mission around Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations by teaching to obey Christ’s commands and baptizing in the name of the triune God.

Essential #3 The Greatest Commandment (Mark 12:28-31)

We orient our hearts around what Jesus called “The Greatest Commandment” - loving God with our whole hearts, and loving our neighbors as ourselves.

Essential #4 The Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25)

We orient our transformation around the The Fruit of the Spirit, virtues and attitudes that God values. We seek to bear God’s image on earth by prioritizing qualities like love, joy peace, and humility.

4 Gatherings

Gathering #1 Sunday Worship (Hebrews 10:24-25)

We gather every Sunday morning to worship, to sit under teachings from the Bible, to participate in the sacrament of communion, and to connect with one another.

Gathering #2 Monthly Prayer (Acts 2:42)

We gather on the first Friday of every month to seek the Lord together by lifting up our hearts to God in prayer - expressing our thanksgivings, joys, sorrows, and requests.

Gathering #3 Seasonal Small Groups (Acts 2:42)

We gather in Gospel Communities for 8-12 week seasons for intentional discipling, as we believe gospel transformation flourishes in mutual relationships. In between Gospel Community seasons, we gather for 4-6 week Discipleship Sprints, which are opportunities to deeply interact with specific topics that affect the church.

Gathering #4 “Front Porches” (Matthew 9:37)

We gather regularly in metaphorical Front Porches - no-pressure relational spaces to create connection. Think Park Days, Q&As, and backyard parties - spaces for all people, churched and unchurched, to experience the hospitality of Salt.
